About Kneva
Kneva is a women-focused ACL prevention and recovery platform designed to address injury risk that traditional sports science overlooks. The platform combines women-specific training models with a novel inflatable knee sensor that detects injury risk early. By accounting for female biomechanics and physiology, Kneva helps athletes train more safely and recover more effectively before injuries occur.

About the Builder Team
Kneva is led by Nirjara KC, Sian Vincent, and Yukta Karki, computer science majors at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Motivated by research, lived awareness, and curiosity, the team uncovered a critical gap in sports science. Despite overwhelming evidence that women face significantly higher ACL injury risk, training and recovery models remain male-centered. Rather than accept that gap, the team chose to design around it.

Female athletes in Louisiana face disproportionately high ACL injury rates, yet most training and recovery protocols are based on male physiology. This gap increases long-term health risks, raises costs, and shortens athletic careers. The lack of women-specific preventative solutions continues to impact athletes statewide.
