Innovation is vital for Louisiana’s economic growth, productivity and prosperity. From startups to established companies, the Louisiana Innovation Awards celebrates and recognizes the hard work and innovation that has been delivered over the past year.

Eligibility Requirements

Nominees must meet the following qualifications for consideration:

  • Company must be a registered and operational business in Louisiana.
  • Innovation must be available on the market with sales.
  • Must meet an eligible small business as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
    • Small Business/Innovation/Innovator/Trailblazer of Year: The company demonstrates exceptional growth in the marketplace, a profitable business model, strong leadership team, stellar customer service, and a positive workplace environment. In business for five years or more.
    • Emerging Innovator: Celebrates an innovative and promising start-up company and demonstrates the greatest potential to transform the industry with substantial year-over-year growth. Less than five years in business.
    • Young Innovator: Recognizes an inspirational and successful individual under 21 OR 26 years old, who doesn't just dream about starting a business, but actually executes and turns that dream into a successful business reality.
