Director of Member Engagement

The Nexus Louisiana Technology Park is looking to hire a Director of Member Engagement. This individual will be utilized as a generalist consultant by the Louisiana Technology Park staff and meet with and provide business assistance services to the Tech Park’s incubator members and its outreach clients. This position will report directly to the Executive Director of the Tech Park.

Tech Park-specific
  • Generate innovative ideas to promote our brand and products
  • Support strategic investigations – business model, cost structure, benchmarking, efficiency, strategic sourcing, etc. for LTP as needed
  • Support Executive Director in development and execution of prospect pipeline for LTP
  • Develop and implement market research and sales strategies for the Tech Park, Ignition, VCAP and its respective clients
  • Utilize and direct interns to act as resources for projects
  • Develops financial pro formas (client)
  • Develops product/sales forecasts (client)
  • Develops company valuation models (client)
  • Utilizes tools and frameworks to assist clients with general business finance issues
  • Utilizes tools and frameworks to assist clients with general business marketing issues
  • Develops & supports Go To Market strategies for clients
  • Generates innovative ideas to promote client brand and products
  • Assists clients with Product Development efforts
  • Assists incubator members with public relations, marketing and business development needs
General Business Strategy
  • Supports other sister companies in the Research Park Corporation portfolio, including Innovation Catalysis and Red Stick Angel Network
  • Cultivates relationships with internal clients
  • Manages client intake process
  • Utilizes tools and frameworks to assist clients with general business strategy and operations
  • Provides consulting assistance in (non-exhaustive list): management, finance and operations, research, business and market planning, loan package preparation, business training, funding
    sources, and referral to accounting, legal and other service providers
  • Provides business training and counseling on a variety of topics
  • Provides negotiation advisory assistance
  • Leads clients through business model development and validation, using tools such as Growth Wheel, Business Model Canvas, Lean Startup, etc.
  • Conducts both qualitative and quantitative industry research for client companies
  • Develops recommendations for optimizing business and financial performance
